Allstate General Contractors is a one stop shop for all your construction needs. We handle everything from start to finish for all of our clients. We’ve included a general outline so that you can get a better feel for the process of a project from start to finish.
STEPS FOR A PROJECT
1) Have a meeting with owners to go over their needs, wants and ideas and to get an idea of a budget and time frame for completion if they have one. Verify financing if applicable.
2) Come up with initial costs to complete project. Once this is complete, go over with clients. If price is agreeable, provide contract to sign to commence work.
3) Contact local municipality to verify if project is feasible (i.e. zoning).
4) Set course of action for design work and engineering.
5) Once initial design work is complete, meet with clients again to go over details and redline plans.
6) Complete plans with redlines and prepare to submit for permit. At this time, a Critical Path schedule is made to ensure of projected completion time.
7) When permit is approved, schedule initial trades to begin work as soon as possible.
8) While construction is under way, I will have various meetings with owners to show progress and make any necessary changes in field. Also during construction, the necessary inspections will be completed before the next phase of work is begun.
9) When construction is near the end, a walk-thru is set up with owners to see final product and complete any necessary concerns. Final inspections are completed and Certificate of Occupancy is gathered (if applicable).
10) Warranty period begins if applicable. When a list of warrantable items is gathered, contact is to be made with me to come through and go over concerns.
11) Agreed upon warranty work is completed and signed off.
